Five Frogs on a log

Heya!! Hope you are all doing great!!

Five frogs are sitting on a log.

Four decide to jump off.

How many are left?

Answer: five.

Why?
Because there’s a difference between deciding and doing. :D

  1. You got me!!!!! I immediately thought 4……. Oh well, can’t get ‘everything right…!!!

How true Jenny… deciding and doing are indeed two very different animals. Good luck with your resolutions. Personally I only do as I am inspired….. If I am not to do, then I accept this with good grace. Similarly if I am to do something; I ‘know’ this and it is done…. This has become my life; to do that which I ‘know’ I am being inspired to do. This takes the pressure off, so to speak. Perhaps this is so for you too. Perhaps you are ‘not’ doing because this is ‘right’ for you. ;)

    • Wow, Carolyn These lines are Awesome :) “to do that which I ‘know’ I am being inspired to do”..Even I do that which I am being inspired to do..Now I really don’t care much if something is delayed.. I just make sure, that I am making best use of my time. This made me realize that you must let Life go the way God want us to, there’s no use in rushing or resisting at all. you must concentrate in the present, and give it your best, that’s the best you can do, and that’s all you have and that I am Grateful, that I learnt and realize this.. Thanks for your wonderful comment .. It always leave a smile on my face :)

      • Have you noticed the Parrot Reflection? I’d love to know if you feel that this applies to you in any way? I can certainly understand the part that says: a very strong personality….. and …the Parrot personality ‘innately encourages change’ – this is certainly what you are doing here….. ;)

  2. resisting and delaying stuff – i can relate to that.

Wish you all the best for the new year resolutions.

And I guess deciding is good. It is the first step of ‘doing’ :)

    • Yeah.. I agree with you Amira.. Deciding is the 1st step of doing.. without deciding we may or may not do things properly.. Proper decisions and planning is always needed for any of our important task.. Thanks for your great comment :)

  3. ha-ha, and true, new years resolutions tend not to work out, well for me anyway so i don’t keep them… :D

I can relate to resistance and delaying! But this year I made a commitment on one thing and so far I’m following through. Today you gave me a heavy dose of Power, Spirit and Hope…. to continue “DOING”!
    Thanks, my friend!

  24. Wow, Mr. Feldman & Mr. Spratt…. Hats off…Thanks to u for sharing.

  25. Stirring in turmoil for lack of ability to focus on what I have decided. Took me too long to decide. Once I did, it motivated me to spend the last two hours writing about it for my next blog post. This focus, this precious focus on what you’ve decided to do, how it can absorb you in the moment, thrill you beyond reason, sprout enthusiasm from your pores, give you motivation to pursue it doggedly, with at times, little sleep. Something that wakes you up in the middle of the night, if I can focus I can ride it like a wave, otherwise I’m ridden by scatter. This is Art to me. Thanks for a parallel associative thought. It gives me strength to focus.

  26. Thanks for sharing your great thoughts here.. Yeah at times we need break(relaxation).. :) Have a great day!!

Procrastination – That’s one thing which affects all of us in small little ways all the time. Can truly understand that.

  34. It felt more like a joke.
but there is a slight difference in deciding & hesitating, I think.
Frogs jump normally in hurrying. They always hesitate.
